Paraga Beach

One of the cutest beaches on the island!

Paraga Beach is a combination of two sandy beaches separated by a headland and forming a large beach. It is one of the beaches originally made famous by the hippie generation back on 70s.

Located 6 kilometers in the south of Mykonos Town visitors can get to Paraga beach by catching a regular bus from Chora (every hour from Fabrica bus station). Visitors can also reach the beach by car or motorbike and as well as by water taxi leaving from Platis Gialos beach.

Three star hotels and budget accommodation such as private rooms, studios and apartments for rent, are all available for tourists around this beautiful beach.

Paraga beach is the first in the chain of southern beaches which is tolerant to nude sunbathing with a tiny gay section supporting the needs of the young and fashionable.

Set in a picturesque landscape the restaurants and music beach bars help to create a holiday atmosphere for not only its daily visitors but for those who chose to stay in its hotels and well organized camping facilities.

The music can get loud in front of the restaurant – beach bar, especially in August, when the Italian crowd flocks to the Beach.

Fine pale sand, rocks forming a natural diving platform, restaurants and beach bars under the trees and sun beds with umbrellas, create a gorgeous summer scene.
