Explore Agios Ioannis region
Agios Ioannis is one of the most attractive areas in south-west of the island! It has a beautiful beach surrounded by many luxury hotels, exclusive villas and good restaurants, ideal for families and relaxation! There is a regular bus connection from Mykonos Town (every hour from Fabrica bus station), and is also very close to Mykonos town (3.5km) and Ornos beach (1.5km).
Explore Agios Sostis region
Agios Sostis is among the quietest locations of Mykonos! A bit far from Mykonos Town (8km), in the north-east, is ideal for travellers looking for tranquillity! It has a pure and wild beach with a couple of accommodation choices offering not only peace and quiet, but also amazing views. As there is no public transportation to this area, you will definitely need to rent a car or a motorbike.
Explore Agios Stefanos region
Agios Stefanos is a beautiful close to Mykonos Town area (2.5km) perfect for families and relaxation! There is also a great variety of hotels, restaurants and cafes here and also a very well organized and touristic beach! You can get to Agios Stefanos by bus (from the Old Port bus station), car, motorbike or taxi. This area is also just 1km further on from Tourlos area and the NEW port.

Agrari area is a spot of calmness and relaxation! Situated 8.5 km in the south of Mykonos Town, is not connected by public bus, a fact that have helped to keep its tranquility. On Agrari there is also a beautiful beach with only one hotel for your accommodation and a single bar-restaurant that caters to all who enjoy seclusion from the crowds.
Explore Ano Mera village
Ano Mera is the only village in Mykonos, situated at the core of the island. In a 15-minute drive from Mykonos Town (7km) by your own transportation or by public bus (from the Old Port bus station) you can be to the second most populated area in Mykonos. It is simple, quiet and also centered around a large public square which offers a much different feel to it’s visitors. Check here some indicative things you can do while you are in Ano Mera village!
Explore Elia region
Elia area is a stunning location of unique natural beauty! It is surrounded by many luxury hotels, restaurants and beach bars offering a relaxed atmosphere. Over here you can also find the largest beach on the south coast of Mykonos island with a nice crowd mix of hetero and gay sun worshipers. Situated 10 km in the south of Mykonos town, you can get here by bus (from the Old Port bus station) in about half an hour.
Explore Ftelia region
Ftelia is a very tranquil place that even during high season is not very crowded. This is mostly due to the fact it faces north, making it often quite windy and also dusty. Over here you can find a large sandy beach, known also as windsurfers paradise! There are a couple of bar-restaurants nearby and also various accommodation options. Situated 6km in the northeast of Mykonos Town and you can get to Ftelia only by car, motorbike or also taxi.

Houlakia is a serene area in the north-west of the island. It took its name from the nearby pebble-beach on Mykonos, which cannot be found anywhere else. The area hosts many luxury villas and a couple of mid-range and luxury hotels due to its tranquil landscape. The closest shops and restaurants can be found in the nearby area of Agios Stefanos. Located 4 kilometers from Mykonos Town, you can get here only by your own car or motorbike as there is no public bus.
Explore Kalafatis region
Kalafatis is a peaceful area in the south-east of the island. It features plenty of accommodation options, restaurants, shops and water sports! There is also a large, beautiful, less developed sandy beach, very popular among wind surfers. Located 12 kilometers from Mykonos Town, you can get here by catching a public bus (from the Old Port bus station).
Explore Kalo Livadi region
Kalo Livadi is located in the south-east and is one of the island’s new hot-spot areas! It has a few mid-range and luxury hotels, for those who want to enjoy the tranquility the area has to offer! Here you can also find one of the biggest sandy beaches in Mykonos island, hosting a couple of beach bars and restaurants! You can get to Kalo Livadi by your own car or motorbike as there is no regular bus service from Mykonos Town (11km).
Explore Kanalia region
Kanalia is a peaceful and under constant development area in the west of the island. Overlooking Mykonos Town, it is often quite windy as it faces the north. Over here you will find the most exclusive and luxury villas on the island offering complete privacy and a few mid-range accommodation options. The closest shops and restaurants can be found in the nearby areas of Korfos and Ornos. Located 4 kilometers from Mykonos Town, you can get here only by your own car (jeep is recommended) or motorbike as there is no public bus.
Explore Korfos region
Korfos area is situated behind Ornos Beach, facing the north. If you are on a budget but looking for a convenient location then its proximity to Mykonos Town and Ornos beach is ideal for staying here. There are plenty of apartments and studios to choose from. The area also hosts Korfos beach which is considered a paradise for lovers of windsurfing, kitesurfing, and generally of extreme sports. Furthermore, you can also find in this area plenty of convenience stores. Located 2 kilometers from Mykonos Town, you can get here by catching a regular bus from Mykonos town (Fabrica bus station) and get off just a stop before Ornos.
Explore Lia region
Lia is a beautiful secluded area on the south-east of the island. Here you can really relax any time of the season! The area features various accommodation options, from economical apartments to luxury villas. There are also two restaurants nearby and a beach bar catering all of those who enjoy it’s magnificent sandy beach. Located 13 kilometers from Mykonos Town, you can get here only by car, motorbike or taxi.
Explore Mykonos Town and outskirts
Mykonos Town or Chora is definitely the heart of this majestic island! In the endless small streets, you will find hotels, shops, restaurants, bars and much more. The famous whitewashed windmills are standing on a hill in the west overlooking Little Venice which is one of the most beautiful parts of the Town. Note that the only way to get around the town is to walk as motorized traffic is strictly prohibited on its streets. In case you want to be close to Mykonos Town’s action but also being able to find some peace, then consider someplace at the outskirts. From these peaceful suburbs, you can actually walk into Mykonos Town within 10-15 minutes! Be sure to check all the listings here as well, before making a decision!

Ornos is a very popular area located in the south (2.5km) of Mykonos Town. It features an amazing beach, mostly family and couples oriented. Here you can find numerous wonderful beachfront restaurants, where they serve the best dishes on the island. There are also many places to have a really good coffee or a drink. Furthermore, you can also find here a supermarket, bakery shop, pharmacy and a couple of tourist shops. There is also a huge variety of hotels, apartments, studios, and luxury villas that are situated on and around the beach. You can get here by catching a regular bus from Mykonos town (every hour from Fabrica bus station).

Explore Panormos region
Panormos is a remote rising hot spot area in the north of the island. It features a long and beautiful sandy beach with crystal clear waters! Here you can find a couple of restaurants and also various accommodation options. Located 7 kilometers in the North-east of Mykonos Town, you can get here by car, motorbike or taxi. There is also an infrequent bus service from the Old Port bus station – every two hours – but probably it is better to rely on your own transportation!

Paradise area, hosts probably the most famous beach worldwide known for its parties! It mostly attracts young and some times not so young crowds, havig fun on the beach bars. There are several hotels, studios and apartments for accommodating you here. You can also find quite a few mini markets, restaurants and shops. At the beach there is also the largest camp-site in Mykonos! Located 5.5 kilometers in the south of Mykonos Town, you can get here by catching a regular bus (every 30 minutes in high season from Fabrica bus station).

Paraga hosts a very trendy sandy beach in the south of Mykonos! Set in a picturesque landscape the restaurants and music beach bars help to create a holiday atmosphere for not only its daily visitors but also for those who choose to stay in the nearby hotels and well-organized camping facilities. The music can get loud in front of the restaurant – beach bar, especially in August, when the Italian crowd flocks to the beach. Located 6 kilometers from Mykonos Town you can get here by catching a regular bus from Chora (every hour from Fabrica bus station).
Explore Platis Gialos region
Platis Gialos is one of the most popular areas in the south! It features a nice and a long stretched sandy beach, situated in a beautiful half-moon shaped bay. There is a huge variety of hotels, apartments, studios and luxury villas that are situated on and around the beach. Close by you can also find a couple of minimarkets and car rentals as well. On the beachfront there are plenty of good restaurants and tavernas to choose from. Platis Gialos is very well connected by bus (every half an hour from Fabrica bus station) to Mykonos Town (4km). It’s also the place where the water taxis start to connect the rest of the south coast beaches (like Paradise, Super Paradise) and go till Elia.

Psarou is one of the most famous areas on the island 4km from the main town! The approximately 150 meters long beautiful golden beach attracts many Greek and international celebrities. Here you can find the most popular and quite expensive beachfront bar-restaurants in Mykonos! There are also quite a few luxurious hotels and private villas for rent that are overlooking this amazing beach. In about 5 minutes drive you can also find several convenience stores. You can get here by catching a regular bus from Mykonos town (every hour from Fabrica bus station).
Explore Super Paradise region
Super Paradise is a very popular area in the south! Set in a heavenly setting, you will find here probably the most beautiful beach of Mykonos island! Despite the music from the nearby beach bars, the area offers a relaxed atmosphere. You will also find close by a big variety of accommodation options like apartments, studios, and luxury villas. Located 7 kilometers from Mykonos Town and 4 kilometers from the most nearby supermarket, you can get here only by your own car or motorbike as there is no public bus.
Explore Tourlos region
Tourlos is the parent area of Mykonos NEW port just 2km from the main Town. Sheltered from the northern winds, it offers quite a few good places to eat and several types of accommodation like hotels, apartments and studios. You can also find some of the most famous luxury hotels on the island, in the neighbouring area of Tagoo. Tourlos can be reached by car or by a bus which leaves from the the Old Port bus station.
