Mykonos weather is the ideal climate for any visitor that wants to enjoy the Greek sun and sea!
Mykonos is a year-round destination that offers sunshine and heat in the summer and a comfortably cool climate in the winter. Rain is not a problem, with sunny days far outnumbering wet ones.
The sun shines for up to 300 hundred days a year and it is only every rainy between February and March. This arid climate means that there is very little natural vegetation.
On average, the warmest months of the year are July and August with an average temperature of 35°C (90°F). The coldest is January at 9°C (48°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 14 in July. The wettest month is November with an average of 170mm of rain. The best month to swim in the sea is in July when the average sea temperature is 24°C (75°F).
Although temperatures can rise as high as 40 degrees in the summer months, the wind prevents the overbearing heat, and averages of 28-30 degrees are most common. In the evenings the temperature is cool and a sweater is usually required only at the end of the season (end September).
