Psarou beach

One of the most famous beaches in Mykonos island!

Psarou beach with its turquoise waters and the golden sand is the most popular beach among Greek & international celebrities.

Located 4 kilometers in the south of Mykonos Town visitors can get to Psarou beach by catching a regular bus from Chora (every hour from Fabrica bus station). Visitors can also reach the beach by car or motorbike (prepare to drive down a steep slope), as well as by water taxi leaving from Ornos beach.

The approximately 150 meters long beach lies well sheltered in case it’s windy and the sea is shallow, so very safe for families with small children.

Psarou Beach is very well organized with sunbeds and umbrellas and several shops, taverns and accommodation in the vicinity plus the famous Nammos restaurant. (Often the beach is called Nammos beach after the restaurant!)

Because of its popularity, in high season there is waiting list. When the “Nammos” has a party, champagnes and lots of fireworks light up in the sky.

Renting a beach bed and an umbrella can be extremely expensive here, so be informed about the price before you lie down. You can also practice water sports and there is a diving center on Psarou.

Because the bay is so well-sheltered you can often find the most expensive and beautiful yaughts you’ll ever see, anchored there.
