One of the most beautiful beaches in the south-west!
Agios Ioannis beach is considered one of the most beautiful in south-west of the island while surrounded by numerous hotels and restaurants.
There is a regular bus transfer from Mykonos Town (every hour from Fabrica bus station), and is very close to Mykonos town (4 km).
Agios Ioannis Beach consists of soft sand and it is easy to go into the sea. The beach is also suitable for families with small children.
The beach is partly with sunbeds and umbrellas, and partly without, so you can choose. Furthermore is not completely spared from the northern wind, on days when it blows heavily, but on most of the days it is fairly calm here.
The Beach is also one of the best places on Mykonos to watch the sun setting behind the historical island of Delos.
Here you can find all amenities near the beach and there are all kinds of accommodations (including luxury villas with private pool), restaurants and shops to choose from.
Close by is the small but cute beach of Kapari which is also suitable for naturists. This small beach is recommended for those who want complete privacy but do not mind nudity, as it is very common here.
