Kalafatis Beach is one of the most uncrowded beaches in Mykonos island!
Located 12 kilometers in the south-east of Mykonos Town, you can get to Kalafatis beach by catching a public bus from Chora (from Old Port bus station). Visitors can also reach the beach by car or motorbike. (No water taxi comes here)
Kalafatis is a large, beautiful, less developed, sandy beach and very popular among wind surfers who enjoy a good offshore breeze. A variety of water sports are also available here, including jet ski, water ski, wake board and tube rides.
If you visit Kalafatis it’s like going to another island. This is where you get away from the crowds and find absolute tranquility.
There are sun beds and umbrellas for rent on the beach, but there is also a section without those facilities. Around the Beach are trees where you can find some shade. On a part of the sea at Kalafatis Beach there are some sea plants and quite a few small fish swimming around, which makes it extra fun for snorkelers.
On the beach there are also a couple of hotels, apartments and as well few villas for those who seek serenity but still want to enjoy the luxurious lifestyle.
In the area you may also find car rentals, mini markets and some small restaurants and taverns often specializing in local seafood dishes.
Nearby Kalafatis Beach (15′ walk) there is also Agia Anna Beach, a tiny sandy beach, at the end of the peninsula.
Beautiful landscape and tranquility are what make Kalafatis beach so special!
